AAA submission to MBS Review Taskforce - 29 Nov 2018

Alpha-1 Awareness Month has had another win, thanks to the driving force of Hariklia.

On the evening of 29 Nov 2018, Hariklia reached the point of being able to send in the AAA's submission to the Medicare Benefit Schedule (MBS)'s Review Taskforce, arguing for inclusion of genotyping and SERPIN A1 DNA sequencing for Alpha-1.

Hariklia, on behalf of all AAA members, thank you for seizing the baton and making this happen.

Thank you also to Linda Mundy and The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) for the invaluable assistance with this process. As well as a thank you to Ben Lundie of Pathology Queensland, and Val Hyland, ex Pathology Queensland now of virtus DIAGNOSTICS, for vital information and insight along the way.

More discussion and information about this subject within the AAA discussion forums (for Australian and NZ residents only).
